CHAMBER FURNACES

Including the new large capacity range of furnaces we have recently introduced, Protherm furnaces cover a range from 1100 C° to 1600 C°, all of which are front loading for easy operation and double skin construction to maintain a cooler outer case. Upto 1200 C°, both open wire and muffle ceramic heater module based models are produced. Upto 1300 C° range, we have open wire heated systems where the elements are supported on ceramic tubes. Important advantage of these models is that element change is very easy and economic.

Low thermal mass insulation leads to a very impressive heat up rate as well as efficient insulation. Temperature control provided either by PID or programmable controls depending on customer requirements. Chamber exhaust vent is a standard till 1300 C° and should be specially required for furnaces over 1400 C°. A vertical counter balanced door, keeps the hot insulation away from operator, while opening upwards. There is a safety switch which isolates power when door is opened.

Silicon Carbide hating elements are ideal for laboratory furnaces where rigorous firing cycles are usually applied. Best quality Silicon Carbide heating elements of Kanthal Ltd. / Scotland are utilized to achieve 1400 C° and over. Always designed for extra power to compensate the ageing of elements, minimum 2-3 years of service life is experienced. A double skin construction using a natural air convection maintains the outer skin coolest possible. Heavily insulated lid opens upwards smoothly.

Through controller configuration and for furnaces over 1400 C°, an alarm relay for over temperature protection is provided as standard to stop operation if and when the maximum temperature is exceeded. If required a seperate over temperature protection control unit may also be fitted, for an extra charge.
